Star Wars Galactic Racer How Long to Beat: 6 to 27 Hours
Star Wars Galactic Racer how long to beat: about 6–12 hours for most runs through the three acts, up to 27 for slower players, and far longer for all trophies.

Most players finish Star Wars: Galactic Racer's campaign in roughly 6 to 12 hours, but it can take far longer because failed runs send you back to the start. Kotaku's review estimated six to nine hours, while GamesRadar's reviewer took about 27 hours to roll the credits. Collecting every trophy takes much longer than the story.
How long is the campaign?
The campaign is a roguelite: you race through a sequence of events in tours, and crashing too often or losing key races ends the run. That makes length depend on skill more than in a normal racing game.
| Source | Campaign estimate | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Kotaku review (October 2) | About 6–9 hours | Varies with how many runs you need |
| Gamer.org / Playnews guides | About 6–12 hours | Around 8 hours as a typical first clear |
| Operation Sports | About 10–15 hours | Includes cutscenes and customisation |
| GamesRadar+ | About 27 hours to credits | Then roughly 20 more on extras |
The spread is real, not a mistake. A player who adapts to the handling quickly loses fewer runs; a player who fails late in a tour replays a lot of races.
How many acts are there?
Guides covering the campaign describe three acts. Each act is a run-based sequence with branching routes, rewards, upgrades and decisions rather than a fixed championship. Act 1 is widely described as the hardest stretch, because you have the fewest permanent upgrades. The campaign guide explains what you keep between runs.
Why does it take some players much longer?
- Failed runs. Losing a run late in Act 2 or Act 3 costs the most time, because those acts contain many races to repeat.
- Permanent progress. Tuning Points earned from failed runs make later attempts easier; early runs are slower until those add up.
- Difficulty. Higher difficulty settings lengthen runs and raise the failure rate.
- Exploring routes. Choosing safer routes is quicker; chasing better rewards on riskier routes can pay off or cost a run.
If you keep losing in Act 1, the tips page and best vehicle guide cover the changes that save the most runs.
How long for 100% and all trophies?
Much longer. Trophy guides put full completion at roughly 70 to 100 hours, because it includes beating the highest difficulty, playing the campaign several times and earning 50 Arcade gold medals. Pre-launch estimates of 25–30 hours for everything are now considered too low. The trophy guide lists the hardest ones.
Is there more to do after the credits?
Yes. Beyond the campaign there are Arcade events, Scenarios and online multiplayer with up to 12 speeder racers or 8 podracers. GamesRadar's reviewer kept playing for around 20 hours after the credits because of these extras. The game modes guide explains each one.
Can you speedrun it?
Players do search for speedruns, but no established leaderboard categories or record times have been confirmed in the sources checked, so a meaningful any% time is unconfirmed. The campaign's random event selection would also make runs vary from attempt to attempt.
